Mr. Lesser is the co-founder and regular columnist for Funny Times, an American humor newspaper he started with his wife Susan Wolpert in 1985 and that is the source of many of my blog post ideas. Gifts That Make Me Smile

AffirmationIn the spirit of providing uplifting messages during the holidays, I am considering buying an Affirmation Ball. It’s like a Magic 8 Ball, except that it features cheerful messages like “Have you lost weight?” and “Nice outfit!” But there is also a perverse side of me considering the Sarcastic Ball (“Yeah, right.”) and the Dr. Freud therapy ball (“You’re in denial” and “Talk about your mother”). Museum gift stores are one of my favorite places to shop because they tend to have wonderfully creative products that are hard to find elsewhere. When a memory game is called Can You See What I See?
